PrivacyGuard
PrivacyGuard is a user-focused application designed to give individuals clear, actionable insights into how their personal data is collected, shared, and used by apps and third-party companies. It empowers users to better understand and control their digital privacy through intuitive design and accessible information. The application includes interactive data visualizations that show how personal information is tracked and shared, along with a permissions manager that allows users to monitor and control app access. It also provides real-time alerts and recommendations for potential privacy risks, offers insights into third-party data sharing and data brokers, and includes educational content to improve overall awareness of digital privacy. This project was created in response to growing concerns around data transparency and surveillance in modern technology. Inspired by research on data tracking and privacy practices, PrivacyGuard aims to simplify complex information and make privacy management accessible for everyday users. Unlike existing tools that can feel hidden or overly complex, PrivacyGuard focuses on clarity, usability, and actionable feedback, helping users make informed decisions about their data. This was an independent project where I led the full design process, from research and concept development to UI and UX design, demonstrating my ability to translate complex real-world issues into intuitive digital solutions.
